Lancaster Mediation Center 

Mediation at the Lancaster Mediation Center is a process in which impartial mediators help people in a dispute to think clearly and effectively about their own needs and to communicate with others in the dispute in a safe and confidential setting. The mediators' goal is to help each person in the dispute make their own decisions about what to do and how to resolve the disagreement.

People come to us because they have an important dispute they have not been able to resolve on their own. Our professionally trained mediators respect the importance of their clients' decisions and work hard to empower all involved to settle the dispute to their own satisfaction.

IS MEDIATION RIGHT FOR YOU?

Lancaster Mediation Center mediators can help if  both parties in a dispute are willing to work to resolve the conflict in a way that satisfies both sides. Our mediators are trained to help you do that.

You can contact the Center for your own problems or can call to tell us about others who may benefit from our services. We get referrals from neighbors, family members, friends, faith community leaders, educators, counselors, lawyers, social service agencies, law enforcement officers, judges, and district justices.

Our mediators will help you through a problem-solving process step-by-step. They will help you think clearly about your needs and interests. They will help you tell others in the dispute what your needs and interests are.

The mediators' goal is to enable the people in the dispute to find a solution for themselves. The mediators will not tell you what to do and will not judge anyone in the dispute. If you need other information, the mediators will help you find where you might get it.
